Still time for 2015 Prospect Awards nominations

With only one month to go before nominations close for the Prospect Awards, the Australian Mining team is looking for more of Australia’s best and brightest in the industry to join them in this year’s celebration of the mining industry’s best achievements.

The Prospect Awards recognises innovation and achievement by mining companies, service providers and individuals who have shown the way forward and set a shining example for others.

With the commodity downturn of the post-boom era, never has it been more important to recognise the achievements of those who are working hard to ensure Australia’s most iconic modern industry remains a success story, and to thank them for the progressive developments which will help the prosperity of future generations of Australians.

Individuals, miners and other businesses can nominate themselves or others in a range of categories, including Mine of the Year (coal and hard rock), Community Interaction, Contributions to Mining, Explorer of the Year, Excellence in Safety, Excellence in Environmental Management, among many others.

The Prospect Awards presentation night is one of the best evening events on the mining industry calendar, with companies and representatives from around Australia gathering to show their support for the nominees that have given their all and stepped forward to be recognised for dedication, innovation, and success.

The presentation will be held at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth Hotel on Friday 30 October.

Encompassing the entire nation’s mining sector – from hard rock through to coal and everything in between, the awards will acknowledge not only the major players in these industries but also the rising stars of tomorrow.
