SCEE wins Rio Tinto Cape Lambert contract

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering (SCEE) has been awarded the electrical and instrumentation works contract at Rio Tinto’s Cape Lambert Port B project.

The contract is for the Phase 1 package for the Car Dumpers and Screenhouse, which is valued at around $40 million.

Work is scheduled to commence this month.

SCEE and Rio are also carrying out discussions into the Phase 2 package, which is slated to be worth a similar price to Phase 1.
