Sandvik wins South African coal contract

Sandvik has won a large contract for materials handling machinery in South Africa.

The project, which is worth close to $100 million, covers the engineering, supply, and installation of two bucketwheel stacker/reclaimers with capacities of more than 6100 tonnes per hour, and two shiploaders with capacity of close to 10,000 tonnes per hour.

Work will begin this year, and run until 2017.
