Sandvik wins Cadia contracts

Sandvik has won a contract to supply the Cadia mine with 14 LHDs.

Sandvik has been awarded a contract for the supply of 14 LH517 LHDs  for the initial production phase of Newcrest Mining’s Cadia East gold mine.

The LHDs will be deployed in Cadia East’s initial production phase, and have the ability to operate fully autonomously.

Service and support for the new loaders is being carried out both by Sandvik’s Orange service centre, plus an onsite product support team in the Cadia Valley.

Sandvik has also won a contract to supply the Chinese Kailin Group with 19 mining machines.

The contract includes jumbos, bolters, and long hole rigs, to be delivered by the end of next year.
