Sandvik is seeing customers come in from around the world ahead of its massive Customer Day.
The company is using the day to unveil its latest products such as its new surface and underground drill rigs mining, its mine automation system, new rock tools, and its loading and hauling equipment.
It is held at its Tampere factory in Finland, which it claims is the largest single mining equipment production facility in Europe.
While it is apparently not providing more information on the current progress of the prototype of its underground truck -the TH663, which is currently being field tested at an Australian mine after which the information gathered will be fed back to the Finland factory to update the vehicle's performance on site, it will showcase its sister vehicle the TH551 at its test mine.
It will not use the event for one to highlight the launch late last month of its new electric powered rotary blasthole rig.
Australian Mining has previously been told that this rig has been designed specifically for the China and Asia market and will likely not be released in Europe or Australia.
The Sandvik event will be held prior to the Euro Mining 2013 exhibition.
