SANDVIK Mining and Construction will open a purpose-built facility in Mount Isa by May.
According to the company, the facility will offer customer servicing and field support.
The new facilities, currently under construction at 199 Barkly Highway Mt Isa, will bring three operations under one roof.
Sandvik’s aftermarket director Girish Hebbani said the company previously had material handling, exploration and surface and underground mining customer services operating on separate premises.
Consolidation of the companies facilities is underway in Newcastle, combining engineering, manufacturing, sales and service to ensure the company meets both customer and employee needs.
