Nominations are now open in South Australia for the Premier’s Community Excellence Awards in Mining and Energy.
The awards, now in their fourth year, are held in recognition of contributions made by mining and petroleum companies to the economy and communities of South Australia.
South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy (SACOME) CEO Jason Kuchel said the Awards recognised the commendable activities of South Australian resources companies and service providers.
“We strongly encourage our members, including service providers, to nominate for the awards this year,” Kuchel said.
“In the current challenging environment it is particularly important that companies are recognised for their ongoing commitments to their communities and that the public is made aware of the resource sector’s activities, priorities and leadership in community and social excellence.”
Categories include Excellence in Social Inclusion, Excellence in Supporting Communities, Excellence in Leadership (Women in Resources), and Environmental Excellence.
Award nominations are open until March 2, and winners will be announced at SACOME’s Annual Resources Industry Dinner on Monday 13 April, during the South Australian Resources and Energy Investment Conference.
