RungePincockMinarco enters into Mongolian mining software agreement

Australian mining software firm RungePincockMinarco has entered into a distribution agreement that will open up Mongolia to the company.

It has entered an agreement with Information Technology Experts LLC (IT Experts), a Mongolian based mining software consultancy firm, RPM said in a company statement.

Under the non-exclusive agreement, which starts from today, IT Experts will sell and support RPM software, as well as mine scheduling and financial modelling programs, to miners in Mongolia.

The agreement comes on the back of the appointment of CKSC NVision as a distributor of RPM's products in Russia and CIS, and the formation of an Indian joint venture company with Deepak Minint Services to push RPM's software across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan.

RPM's regional general manager Philippe Baudry said "this is an important relationship for us as we look to broaden our software distribution channels and market share in Mongolia".

"IT Experts are a respected supplier to the Mongolian mining industry and complement our existing operations in country, which have been in place since 2010."

Adding to Baudry's comments, RPM CEO Richard Mathews stated that "this calendar year we have launched a raft of new software products to the mining industry; following on from these product releases we are now working to expand our distribution channels – particularly in emerging markets, where we have continued to invest".

"This agreement with IT Experts will broaden our network, increase the accessibility of our products, and expand our presence in Mongolia."

The distribution agreement was also welcomed by Munkhbadral Algaa, IT Expert's CEO, who said "it makes sense for us both to align our offerings and partner to service the Mongolian mining sector".

"The combination of our understanding of local customer needs and RPM's products means we can jointly provide solutions to meet the Mongolian mining industry's unique challenges."
