Rio extends Fleetwood camp accommodation contract

Rio Tinto has added another months its accommodation services contract with Fleetwood at the Searipple Village in Karratha.

The miner initially signed the contract with Fleetwood last year, which saw it take a minimum of 350 rooms over 12 months from July 2011, with a rolling option to extend the term for additional six month intervals from 30 June 2012.

The two have now agreed to the extra six months extension and a minimum of 350 more rooms.

The Searipple Village is a mix of short and long term accommodation and was designed to fill the housing gap in the region and support new construction projects in Karratha, WA.
