Monadelphous has selected REMA TIP TOP Australia for a contract at Rio Tinto’s West Angelas Deposits C and D project in the Pilbara, Western Australia.
REMA TIP TOP will provide splicing capabilities across more than 10 kilometres of new overland conveyor and modifications to three existing plant conveyors.
The $1.2 million contract involves 39 splices across five conveyors, including run of mine and overland conveyors that connect the site with Rio Tinto’s existing West Angelas process plant and stockyard.
REMA TIP TOP expects to commence work in this first quarter. REMA TIP TOP Asia Pacific chief executive Benedikt Schneider said he was “thrilled to be able to bolster its partnership with Monadelphous.”
“We provide ourselves on our ability to provide best-in-class services,” he said.
“As Australia’s only registered training organisation (RTO) with the ability to train both our own people and also to develop skilled workers from across the materials processing industry, we take our role of being an expert in conveyor installation, repair and servicing very seriously.
“This new contract with Monadelphous speaks to their trust in our ability to get the job done on time, to specification and with safety performance of paramount importance.”
