A QR National coal train has derailed in Queensland.
The train, which consisted of 60 carriages, jumped the lines and derailed at Biloela on Friday night, according to the Gladstone Observer.
It was travelling on the Moura line, and its first 20 wagons had passed the Orange Creek Rd intersection, south west of Rockhamtpon, around 9pm when approximately 20 wagons came off the rails.
Police say the rail line was severely damaged in the event.
No one was injured in the incident.
QR National is investigating the cause of the derailment.
The rail haulage company announced in September that it is changing its operating name to Aurizon.
