Prospector missing near Kalgoorlie

Police and State Emergency Service crews will continue their search this morning after a prospector went missing near Kalgoorlie.

The 76-year-old man was prospecting with a friend 45km north-east of Kalgoorlie when he disappeared.

According to The West Australian, his friend reported the man missing at around 6pm.

Police and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority search and rescue aircraft searched the Bullock Holes area, near Yarri Road where the man was last seen.

The missing man is described as fair-skinned and was wearing khaki trousers and a grey shirt.

The search for the man will resume this morning.
