A PNEUMATIC equipment manufacturer has released a progressive start valve that can be used standalone, rather than with an air service unit.
This allows the unit to be added quickly into an existing system.
Air supply bleeds through at an adjustable rate until downstream pressure is approximately 60% of supply pressure.
The unit then switches to full flow.
A progressive start valve allows air pressure to build up slowly when air supply is turned on.
This allows actuators that have been moved or fallen, to move back into position at a controlled speed.
