FLOVAC has released a complete deployable “Plug n Play” sewage collection system for eliminating insanitary and environmental waste water problems during mining, military, relief and entertainment activities.
According to the company, the system relies upon the proven technology of vacuum sewerage to collect from sites such as toilet blocks, showers, kitchens, laundrys, field hospitals, command centres or other facilities.
The system utilises three main parts – a central vacuum station – the collection pipe network and either a 78mm ID FLOVAC Vacuum Interface Valvepit or a JETS vacuum toilet (as used in aeroplanes and ships) connected at the source.
According to the manufacturer, the entire system infrastructure is delivered in re-deployable 20 ft containers. Moreover, the vaccum toilets only require 10% of the water used by traditional units, reducing potable water demand in a camp by approximately 25%.
The system can be constructed and operating on site in under two days and can be relocated when required.
The system is a PLC based high spec vacuum pump station is a utility grade infrastructure asset and is reliable, simple to use and includes redundant systems design throughout.
