Peabody president wins University of Newcastle awards

Peabody Energy president Glenn Kellow has won the University of Newcastle's 2014 Alumni Award for International Leadership.

The award recognises UoN graduates who have made significant contributions as international leaders in business, commerce, industry, or public service.

This year the awards focused of 'game changers' and "unconventional thinkers", according to the University of Newcastle.

“This [award] is appropriate recognition of Glenn’s leadership skills,” UoN head Gregory H. Boyce said.

“Glenn’s international experience, accomplishments and track record of implementing best practices have differentiated him throughout his career. We are proud to have a senior leader such as Glenn as part of our executive leadership team and congratulate him on this tremendous honor.”

Kellow was a co-recipient with the Australian Army's colonel Leonard Brennan.
