NRW wins BHP contract

NRW Holdings has won a 12 month contract for BHP Billiton’s iron ore operations in the Pilbara.

Worth $158 million, the contract comprises of three sections, the Goldsworthy to Finucane Island rail duplication earthworks; the Mooka access road and the Mooka marshalling yard.

Commencing in July 2011, the work will run until June next year and see around 200 workers on site.

NRW managing director Jules Pemberton stated that “this award takes our secured workload for the next financial year up to $800 million out of a total order book of approximately $1.74 billion.”
