NRW has won a $32 million contract to upgrade Rio Tinto's West Angelas mine's road.
The contract, part of its five year framework agreement with Rio, will see NRW upgrade the existing access road between the Great Northern Highway and West Angelas iron ore mine in the Pilbara.
It includes around 19 000 cubic metres of excavation and 31 kilometres of bitumen sealed pavement.
The project is expected to run for around 29 weeks, starting in January next year.
At its peak it will employ around 120 workers on site.
This latest contract follows the award of $90 million worth of work at Rio' Yandi Sustaining Project for its Yandicoogina iron ore mine.
The contract will provide bulk earthworks at the Pilbara mine.
