NRW Holdings to start work on Roy Hill rail earthworks

NRW has received a Letter of Intent from Samsung C&T to subcontract works for the Roy Hill iron ore project's rail earthworks.

While the Letter of Intent states that a formal contract is yet to be finalised, NRW is already authorised to start work.

These works under the LOI, which are currently capped at $20 million, include mobilisation, site establishment, preparation of the rail safety plan, and procurement of long lead items.

This LOI comes only a day after Samsung C&T awarded Calibre Group the contract for the detailed design of the 330km heavy haul main line rail.
