Norman Moore has been appointed as the new chairman of mining and energy focused communications company Cannings Purple.
Former WA mining minister Moore will step into the position on 1 February, following current chair Deidre Willmot’s decision to step down and pursue the role of CEO at the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Cannings Purple managing director Warrick Hazeldine said the company was pleased to attract someone as renowned as Moore.
Norman will bring an unrivalled level of knowledge and experience to the business – particularly in the resources and related industries,” Hazeldine said.
“He has an intimate knowledge of the state political and business landscape which will be of significant value to our business, and to the business of our clients. Norman’s role will focus on advice to the Board and strategic advice to our clients.”
