Siemens is again sponsoring the Most Outstanding Contribution to Mining category in the 5th Annual Australian Mining Prospect Awards.

Entrants in this category introduced last year, include individuals from industry, government, academia, or an industry body who have significantly affected positive change in mining or minerals processing in Australia.

As one of the largest suppliers of leading-edge electrical solutions for the mining and metals industries, Siemens is pleased to sponsor the Australian Mining Prospect Awards, says Siemens executive general manager industrial automation & control Bernhard Kienlein.

“This sponsorship provides an opportunity for Siemens to further develop its partnerships with customers and promote the company’s expertise in the metals, mining and mineral processing industries,” Kienlein said.

Siemens offers a comprehensive range of technologies, plants and services for every link in the production chain, extending from raw material mining and beneficiation to iron and steel making.

The company provides electrics, automation and related services for the entire life-cycle of customer’s plants as well as solutions for secondary processes such as water, electric power supply and security. It also supplies turnkey and completely integrated solutions to make the investment of its customers better and to reduce life-cycle costs.

Whether it is a small or large project, Siemens’ ability to provide totally integrated systems and solutions from a single source will help to increase the efficiency, performance and environmental compatibility of the investments in the mining and metals industries.
