Nomad Building Solutions have been awarded two contracts for accommodation at Rio Tinto’s Pilbara iron ore projects.
The first contract, valued at $6.3 million, is for the design and construction of 120 accommodation rooms and four laundries at the Western Turner Brockman project.
Design has already begun, with the buildings to be delivered onsite by 30 September.
Its second contract is valued at $3.5 million, and will see Nomad construct camp buildings for Rio’s Cape Lambert Port B project.
Work is set to begin immediately, with the buildings to be delivered to the site by the end of October.
Nomad’s managing director Michael Bourke said “that restructuring, new management and improved internal processes are strengthening the design, estimating, scheduling and project management capabilities of the business”.
