Nomad Building Solutions’ subsidiary Nomad Modular Building has entered into a manufacturing joint venture with Austal.
The agreement allows Nomad to manufacture and assemble some of its modular buildings at Austal’s manufacturing facility, the Australian Marine Complex.
The first project under the agreement will be the manufacture of accommodation dongas and staff amenity buildings for Rio Tinto’s Western Turner Brockman Project.
Nomad managing director Michael Bourke stated that “the joint venture agreement is a win-win for both companies.
“It provides Nomad with access to a skilled work force and high-tech manufacturing facilities as well as providing additional manufacturing capacity, and enables Austal to develop new manufacturing expertise”
