No Decision on Next Project Until 2011: Macarthur Coal

Macarthur Coal has stalled on making a decision regarding its next Queensland project.

Macarthur Coal has stalled on making a decision regarding its next Queensland mine project.

The company is considering projects near Dingo, Moranbah and Glenden and says it will decide in the news year which one it will start first.

They operate mines near Moranbah and in the Bowen Basin, as well as the Middlemount mine
Managing Director Nicole Hallow says the decision has been deferred until early 2011 while it finalises commercial terms.

Macarthur Coal had earlier indicated it would announce which of the mines would go first by the end of 2010.

Their Moorvale mine near Moranbah has the capacity for underground mining following open cut projects.
