Orica executive Kirsten Molloy has been appointed as the new CEO of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator.
Molloy is currently Orica Mining's business manager for South East Asia, and was one of 200 candidates considered to lead the HVCCC, according to ABC News.
Coal Chain chaiman Tony Haraldson said the selection process for the new CEO had been thorough, and Molloy would now work on improving the Hunter Valley coal network.
“Kirsten brings extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management,” he said.
“Her priority will be to maintain efficiency throughout the Hunter Valley coal chain by working co-operatively with all of HVCCC's members.”
Molloy will take up the new role in April, replacing former CEO Jonathan Vandervoort, who finished in January.
