A group of coal producers in Queensland have started negotiation over access to the proposed Dudgeon Point port south of Dalrymple Bay.
APN reports Endcoal, Whitehaven Coal, Yancoal, QC Resource Investments and Linc Energy are all vying to be a part of the project, which is led by Adani.
According to APN the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has told the miners they can negotiate with Adani as one entity in order to secure a deal.
Rail firm Aurizon will also enter negotiations in order to settle how rail plans are integrated into the new port development.
Adani is currently working long-term on a $7.1 billion project to construct the Carmichael coal project, which includes port and rail infrastructure.
