Mitchell Services has won a three contract for drilling services at Anglo American's QLD coal mines.
The contract, worth $25 million in revenues, will see Mitchell provide six rigs across "multiple sites on Anglo American's Queensland coal operations," Mitchell CEO Andrew Elf told Australian Mining.
The contract has an option for additional services, based on performance during the initial work.
"After the Tom Browne Drilling Services acquisition [in August 2014] and the subsequent capital raising this contract win is another positive step forward for us," Elf said.
He went on to say the company will continue to focus on its growth in central and eastern Australia, and opportunities to extend its relationships with existing clients, "which are very keen on doing".
