Mining accident at Wambo

A man aged is his thirties was airlifted to hospital yesterday after suffering an injury at Peabody’s Wambo mine.

The Hunter’s Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the mine, 30km west of Singleton, following reports that a man had suffered foot injuries.

Newcastle Herald reports the man is in a stable condition at John Hunter Hospital.
