RPMGlobal and MineWare’s monitoring development collaboration has been shortlisted for the 2019 Australian Mining Prospect Awards in the Innovative Mining Solution category.
The collaboration provides total end-to-end visibility of live planning and scheduling information, creating a single source of truth for multiple departments and improved short interval control.
MineWare’s Argus shovel and excavator monitoring system combines with RPMGlobal’s short-term scheduling solution XECUTE, allowing mining companies to compare their planned production against what is happening in real-time.
This ensures planners and operators have the most up-to-date information and correct plans at all times.
RPMGlobal chief executive officer Richard Mathews said the shortlisting was a strong endorsement of the ground-breaking collaboration.
“This integration automates what has traditionally been a very manual process,” Mathews said.
“As a result, we are driving a raft of efficiencies that enable miners to boost overall productivity so it’s great to receive this industry recognition.”
MineWare CEO Andrew Jessett said the company was honoured to be a finalist in the innovation category.
“System intereoperability is critical to the connected mine of the future and it is wonderful to see this acknowledged by our peers,” Jessett said.
Other finalists in the innovation category include Wolff Mining, with its non-line of sight remote control dozer and IMEDX, with its downhole navigation solutions.
The winners of the 16th Australian Mining Prospect Awards will be announced tonight in first-time host city, Brisbane.
