Mining consultants with tendering, project management and procurement strategy skills have emerged as the most sought-after at online recruitment marketplace, Expert360, this year.
The recruitment portal recently analysed its online postings since January to find the most commonly requested consultant skills in the mining and metals industry.
Expert360 CEO Bridget Loudon said tendering, project management and procurement strategy were three of the most in demand consultant skills in the industry
“With the mining downturn, many of Australia’s biggest players significantly reduced their permanent headcount and are now looking to Expert360 to ‘top-up’ the workforce, to access a highly skilled on demand workforce so they can scale as needed,” Loudon said.
By using Expert360 to find on-demand talent, mining companies have access to a marketplace of more than 15,000 consultants.
The system aims to help companies to rapidly find specialists while saving on the overheads of a traditional consulting model.
Expert360 has expanded its presence in the mining sector by offering this model, according to Loudon.
“Being able to quickly find top experts has been a major reason for Expert360’s growth in the mining sector, as constant project needs mean that mining companies are looking to take advantage of our consultant deployment time of 48-72 hours,” Loudon said.
