Ausenco has executed a contract for the Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services for the development of Bemax Resources’ Snapper Mineral Sands mine in south western NSW.

It is estimated that the Snapper Mine will involve capital investment in the order of $130 million.

Ausenco Minerals will be providing EPCM services for the project from its newly established Adelaide office, with support from its Brisbane head quarters. This follows Ausenco’s involvement a few years ago in Bemax’s Ginkgo Mine.

The Snapper Mine site is located approximately 10 km from the Ginkgo Mine and is said to complement existing operations at Ginkgo through the sharing of infrastructure.
