MineARC Systems has been named the WA Exporter of the Year 2010 in the Small to Medium Manufacturer category at this year’s State Export Awards.
The annual awards are co-ordinated by government body Austrade and celebrate outstanding export achievement by WA companies across a range of industries.
The award presented to MineARC Systems recognised the company’s growth and expansion into global export markets since its inception in 1999.
Managing director Geoff Whittaker thanked the staff, suppliers and distributors and says they will continue to strive for further global success.
“Our exporting success has been achieved thanks to our solid domestic footing here in Australia. We’re part of a proud tradition of Australian companies who export best practice mining technology to the rest of the world,” he said.
MineARC now exports to over 30 countries across five continents. They supply refuge chambers and other life-saving industrial safety solutions to many of the world’s top underground mines, as well as tunneling projects and chemical processing facilities.
Sponsors for the awards include ANZ and Rio Tinto.
