Mine wall collapse

There has been a partial mine wall collapse at Navigator Resources’ Bronzewing mine.

The wall collapse, at the mine near Leonora WA, is predicted to hurt the miner’s production forecasts.
Following the accident at the mine’s central pit shares in the company were put on hold.

No one has been injured in the partial wall failure; however it has damaged a drill rig as well as covering future ore reserves in the pit’s south west.

“While staged mining activities in the central pit will resume within the next two days, it is apparent that budgeted ore supply from this source will be impacted to a degree in the short term," the company announced in a statement.

"The company’s staff are assessing changed to the immediate mine plan as well as the slip clean-up methodology with the intention of maintaining overall ore supply to the mill from its several open pit ore sources."

This is the second major mining accident in the Eastern Goldfields region in the past two months.
