Minara Murrin Murrin acid plant offline

Minara Resources has announced that its acid plant at the Murrin Murrin nickel cobalt mine is offline.

According to the miner a failed heat exchanger unit needs replacement, but an alternate heat exchanger unit has already been sourced and tie-in planning is underway.

Production has been halted and is on standby until acid supply resumes.

Minara is now assessing the company’s 2011 production guidance in the wake of the plant failure.
