MICROMINE to release Micromine 2018 mine planning software

MICROMINE is to release the latest iteration of its 3D modelling and mine planning software Micromine 2018 in the second quarter.

Micromine is designed to provide mine explorers with the ability to target regions more effectively in order to increase project success, with modelling, estimation and design tools all included to simplify day-to-day production tasks.

New features for this year’s version of Micromine include a new licensing system, which has the ability to temporarily borrow a network license without a dongle or persistent internet connection; Block extents, a tool to visually adjust the extents of a block model; Search Ellipsoid, a tool for visual adjustment of position, orientation, size and anisotropy of the Vizex search ellipsoid; auto calculation of variogram map values; new dialogue options (undo/redo, sort, move up/down) for the structure editor (thanks to DATA file changes); and string smoothing methods for Strings function, among other features.

Paul Hooykaas, Micromine product strategy manager stated that the company was “really excited at the new features and enhancements for Micromine 2018 and we feel these changes will greatly increase the overall usability of the software”.

“The goal has always been to make our client’s job easier,” he continued. “Micromine 2018 has the necessary tools to achieve this.”
