Ramelius Resources’ Wattle Dam Mine is a finalist in the 5th Annual Australian Mining Prospect Awards for pushing its production past 32,151 ounces, the equivalent of one tonne of pure gold.

The mine is located in the Spargoville belt and has produced some of the highest grade gold intersections and specimens discovered to date in Western Australia.

The one tonne milestone was particularly significant for the company as the initial mine reserve was just 13,250 ounces.

Mining has recently recommenced on a cut back to the original pit, planning is now well underway for Ramelius’ proposed underground mine at Wattle Dam and the mine site is currently working on a major drilling initiative to expand the project’s resource base.
