Measuring bed levels

ENDRESS+HAUSER has launched an electromechanical system that optimises bed level measurement in thickeners, settlers and clarifiers.

ENDRESS+HAUSER has launched an electromechanical system that optimises bed level measurement in thickeners, settlers and clarifiers.

The electronically controlled motor is capable of pulling 500 N and can be adjusted for high sensitivity detection to avoid misreading on gradient sludge blankets.

The product incorporates the use of 316 stainless steel tape and four tape wipers guaranteeing longevity of design.

The measurement cycle of the product is controlled remotely so that measurements take place between rake rotations.

The product is a robust solution to thickening technologies, a sensing weight is lowered on a measuring tape into the thickener or clarifier to detect the level of the dense bed underwater.

The electromechanical system does not adhere to the traditional light weight hollow container filled with bed level material.
