A program of complementary events will be held alongside the Mining & Energy New South Wales (M&E NSW) exhibition, to be held in Muswellbrook in the Upper Hunter Valley, NSW, from September 22-24.
They include an industry dinner featuring a presentation by climate change commentator Professor Bob Carter, an industry breakfast with an address by Xstrata’s Cassandra McCarthy and a careers advice workshop presented by Ai Group.
In addition, every day of the exhibition will feature the ‘Main Stage’ presentation area, providing a program of information and educational presentations from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm.
A highlight of the related events during M&E NSW will be the industry dinner on the evening of September 22.
To be held at the Muswellbrook RSL, it will feature Professor Bob Carter, a Research Professor at James Cook University (Queensland) and the University of Adelaide (South Australia).
Proceeds from the evening, which is being organised by Muswellbrook Rotary, will go to its charities account to support such projects as the Westpac Helicopter, Cancer Council Relay for Life, Science and Engineering Challenge and the Model United Nations Assembly.
The breakfast presentation the following morning, also at Muswellbrook RSL, will focus on a presentation from Cassandra McCarthy, the manager of energy and climate change policy at mining giant Xstrata.
