M&E Indonesia starts this week

OZMINE 2014, Austrade, and M&E Indonesia have combined to exhibit the latest technological developments in the mining industry, and showcase mining in Indonesia.

The event, which will begin Wednesday, will focus on mining productivity and efficiency for suppliers, with not only equipment on show, but a number of training programs and operational solutions under the spotlight to help educate the nation's industry, and present ways in which Australia can aid its growth.

"This focus on innovative mining technology, practices and successful case studies will increase the educational value for visitors and delegates, by providing the technical knowledge of how to implement the strategies and innovations being displayed on the exhibition floor," exhibition host REEDMININGEVENTS stated.

Similar to its Australian exhibitions – AIMEX, M&E NSW, and QME, a series of TechTalk seminars will be held.

“The TechTalks seminar series is about providing personnel with an education stream that compliments the technology and services on the exhibition floor, as well as supplementing the 10th AFMA Conference and free-to-attend Ozmine Conference, by providing personnel with the insights into the technical aspects of the innovations and practices being implemented within the mining sector,” REEDMININGEVENTS director Paul Baker said.

He said these educational programs helped make M&E Indonesia a point of difference compared to other South East Asian mining events.

“What differentiates M&E Indonesia from all other South East Asian mining events is the access provided to the sector to source the technology and services that result in the one cent cost savings or one percent efficiency improvements, which provide a tremendous boost to a mine site’s profitability,”  Baker said.

In regards to the exhibition itself, M&E Indonesia will comprise of a range of mining and industrial equipment, software and service suppliers that will market their innovations, which achieve these one cent cost savings and one percent efficiency improvements.

This includes exhibiting suppliers such as DT Australia, Orica and PT Thiess Indonesia, who consistently provide their customers with the operational benefits to maximise their mine site performance.

"M&E Indonesia is a business-to-business trade event offering Indonesian mining personnel a focal point where they can improve their operations by sourcing the innovations that will boost their performance, developing new strategies based on insights from industry experts and strengthening their industry contacts," Baker added.

The event runs from the 29th to the 31st of October, and will be held at the Jakarta International Expo.
