Russian diamond miner Alrosa has uncovered a giant 145 carat diamond, worth over $1 million.
In a statement the miner said the diamond was in the shape of an octahedron and featured a yellow hue.
The diamond measured 35x20x26mm and a scuff caused by production can be seen on one of its peaks.
Last year the company uncovered an 888.15 carat diamond from the same mine.
Alrosa accounts for around 25 per cent of global diamond production, and produces 97 per cent of all diamonds mined in Russia.
