MacPhersons hits shallow gold mineralisation up to 348g/t

A previous drill core from Boorara

Explorer MacPhersons Resources has hit more shallow gold mineralisation at the Boorara project near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The company’s latest drilling results are part of a 37,000m RC program at its 100 per cent owned project.

MacPhersons’ results included 5m at 71.37 grams a tonne (g/t) from 75m depth, including 1m at 348g/t.

Other shallow high-grade hits included 1m at 101g/t gold from 62m depth, and 1m at 52.5g/t from 22m depth.

MacPhersons also highlighted Boorara’s high-grade potential at depth, including 4m at 43.64g/t gold from 226m, including 1m at 170.5g/t gold.

The company has now drilled around 31,000m, but has ceased work so the RC results can be assessed to complete a gold resource estimate.

“We anticipate all assay results will be available in early February for Cube Consulting,” the company reported.

“The Boorara gold resource estimate is expected in early March 2018, following that we will complete a series of preliminary open pit optimisations.”
