Lucapa unearths largest pink diamond at Lulo to date

Lucapa Diamond has discovered a 38.6 carat pink diamond at their Lulo Diamond project in Angola.

It is the largest coloured gem the company has discovered at the site to date; larger than the 28.5 carat light pink diamond they recently sold as part of a parcel of other diamonds for $5.8 million, The West Australian reports.

Earlier this year, the company unearthed a 404 carat diamond, the largest ever single stone found by an Australian company. It is also the 27th largest diamond in the world.
