LogiCamms wins coal mine contract

LogiCamms has won a contract with Stanwell Corp to upgrade its coal handling preparation plant.

The contract, worth around $8.5 million, will see LogiCamms update Stanwell Corporation's Meandu coal mine's CHPP control system.

It is scheduled to begin immediately and run for around 18 months.

The mine itself supplies around 7 million tonnes of coal annually to the nearby Tarong power stations.

Scope of the CHPP control system upgrade includes the design, installation, factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, and operator training.

LogiCamms' managing director Steve Banning said the contract builds on its record of control system projects for the coal industry.

"We are pleased to be working with Stanwell Corp to deliver the Meandu CHPP control system upgrade," Banning said.
