Liebherr plans massive site expansion in SA

Leibherr Australia has applied to massively expand its facilities at Para Hills, in South Australia.

According to its application, the company will expand its and construction a new workshop for the assembly and disassembly of machinery.

It will also build new storage buildings and offices.

The plans will cost the company approximately $65 million, according to the ABC.

Leibherr Australia managing director Greg Graham explained that "we would anticipate another 100 jobs being added in the next four to five years in this facility to take our total workforce here to about 250.

"As part of the development we evaluated options for Western Australia and Queensland in particular, but in terms of centralising the location and access to a skilled workforce Adelaide came up trumps."
