The constant wave of leadership changes in the mining industry looks set to continue, with MOD Resources and Eclipse Metals both making changes to their executive teams.
In a statement yesterday MOD Resources appointed Julian Hanna as its new managing director.
Hanna steps into the role after spending two months at the company as a non-executive director.
Prior to leading MOD Hanna spent 12 years as managing director for Western Areas, helping transform the company from a start-up explorer to Australia's third largest nickel miner.
Looking to the future Hanna said MOD had set a detailed expansion plan for its Sams Creek gold deposit in New Zealand, where it earns an 80 per cent interest from OceanaGold Corporation.
Along with MOD, exploration junior Eclipse Metals has appointed WA business identities Peter Landau and Carl Popal to the board following the resignation of all of the company's directors.
Earlier this week Eclipse announced the resignations were part of a funding agreement with Ghan Resources.
Popal will now take on the role as executive director at Eclipse, while Landau will join the company as a non-executive director.
Corporate advisor Jane Flegg will also come on board as company secretary, and lawyer David Sanders has also been appointed as a non-executive director.
