Komatsu to open new QLD manufacturing facility today

Komatsu have announced the opening of its new Wacol assembly, service, and remanufacturing facility.

The $55 million facility is set to provide around 150 new jobs in the region, and is the company’s largest single investment in Australia to date.

According to the company it will act at a regional headquarters, and be used as a new ‘super site’ for dump truck assembly.

Komatsu have previously stated that the facility can construct up to 70 ‘ultraclass’ dump trucks per year.

The company added that it will also provide around 100 new trades apprentice positions nationally.
