Kin considers acquisition after signing Gold Fields agreement

Kin Mining has signed an exclusivity agreement with Gold Fields for the potential acquisition of its Lawlers processing plant in Western Australia.

The plant – which has been in care and maintenance for 18 months – has an 800,000 tonne a year capacity, making it suitable for Kin’s Lenora gold project.

The $100,000 agreement will give Kin time to conduct both due diligence and a technical review of the plant, with the sale price to be decided once these are complete.

Kin plans on an annual production of 45-50,000 ounces at Lenora, and is currently finalising its pre-feasibility study.

If the acquisition goes through, Kin will then relocate the plant to the Lenora project.
