Kerman wins Nova nickel accommodation contract

Kerman has won the contract for Sirius Resources Nova nickel project's accommodation camp.

Work will begin this month, with completion slated for August, and will employ around 200 people during construction.

The project, valued at $23 million, will see Kerman design and build the 496 man camp, as well as its additional services and infrastructure.

The village will consist of 124 x four person accommodation buildings, laundry areas, kitchens, a wet mess and BBQ area, administration and shop buildings, maintenance areas, an airport terminal shelter, and process plant administration buildings.

The work also includes earthworks, civil works, and related underground services.

Kerman ED Mark Nagle welcomed the new contract, stating "many people recognise Kerman as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company or a structural, mechanical, piping contractor (SMP) and this project is a good example of how diverse our capabilities are".
