Bendigo design and manufacturing company Keech Australia is placed 7th in the prestigious BRW Top 50 Innovative Companies List ahead of some of Australia’s largest organisations.
The prestigious Business Review Weekly list places Keech Australia well ahead of the likes of Coles, Telstra, Cola-Cola Amatil and National Australia Bank.
CEO Herbert Hermens comments that being named one of the most innovative companies in the country is a real achievement. He explains that innovation is the organisation’s philosophy with the company having invested millions of dollars into innovative solutions to get to the forefront of manufacturing for the global mining and industrial sectors.
Early last year Keech opened an Innovation and Quality Centre that acts as a central hub where metallurgists, scientists, innovators, patternmakers and QA specialists work together. The Centre develops new products to resolve issues experienced by Keech customers in the field, and to continuously improve its existing products and processes.
Mr Hermens points out that the company invests over 7% of sales revenue every year on research and development and will continue to build on this investment by bringing new, unique and innovative products to market as quickly as possible.
Keech Castings (Australia) produces high integrity steel castings for national and international mining, excavating, construction, agricultural, rail transport and defence industries.
