Katter’s Australian Party has tightened its mining policy further and confirmed it will not allow Chinese-owned companies to operate in Queensland.

In a one line media release yesterday the fledgling party reinforced its anti-China policy.

"Katter’s Australian Party has confirmed that it will not allow Chinese Government-owned mining companies to obtain mining leases in Queensland," it said.

The position follows a recent advertisement by Katter’s Australian Party criticising mining companies for attempting to raise the level of foreign workers on mining projects.

"Now the mining companies want to bring in foreign workers and take away our jobs," it said.

"All I know is that the whole thing is un-Australian."

Several days ago the party also uploaded a bizarre music video featuring Katter doing a dance routine.
