Former Prime Minister John Howard will officially open a new premises for a major supplier of large mining dump trucks in Rutherford tomorrow.
Belaz, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of mining dump trucks, has appointed Australasian Pacific Engineering Group (APEG) as its distribution and support partner for the Australian market.
To support the Belaz range in Australia, APEG is moving into new facilities at Rutherford, northwest of Newcastle.
Belaz, a Belarus-based manufacturer manufactures the largest mining trucks outside of the US and has supplied more than 130,000 trucks to 33 countries around the world.
APEG and Belaz will have a major display at AIMEX 2013 – Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition, to be held at Sydney Olympic Park from August 20-23.
Included on the APEG/Belaz stand at AIMEX will be a 360 tonne capacity Belaz 75602 truck.
APEG’s Rutherford premises opening will be hosted by Nick Farr-Jones, former Australian Rugby Union great.
